  • Åke Fribyter, born 1922, died 1998, was a Swedish interior designer.

Fribyter worked for Carl Malmsten in the early 1950s. Among Fribyter's designes there is the Classic chair for Gemla Möbler AB and the Kroken easy chair for Nelo möbler in 1974.

  • Nelo Möbler is a furniture producer established in the 1970s in the South of Sweden. Ever since the mid-80s, the armchairs have actually been sold to a single customer, French Roche Bobois, which is Europe's largest retailer of luxury furniture.

After a Danish company acquisition Nelo changed its brand to Skipper Furniture and refocused their production on seating furniture for public environments and offices.

The former company name Nelo remains as an international brand aimed solely at major customer Roche Bobois.
